Last Friday, April 18th, the Marin County community was forever changed. A tragic car accident claimed the lives of four beautiful teenage girls from Archie Williams High School and left two others fighting to recover. These young lives, filled with potential, hopes, and dreams, were taken far too soon, leaving families, friends, and the entire community grappling with overwhelming grief. Our hearts ache for the families enduring unimaginable pain, and our thoughts remain with the survivors as they courageously face the long path to recovery.
A Community United in Support
In these moments of profound sadness, one thing is clear—our community is strong, and we rally together when it matters most. The outpouring of love and support from Marin County residents has been awe-inspiring. People have shown up in countless ways, from organizing fundraisers to offering meals and resources to the affected families. It’s a testament to the compassion that defines us.
Creekside Pizza in San Anselmo has created a comprehensive resource page to coordinate efforts and centralize support for the families impacted by this tragedy. Their webpage, linked here, shares verified GoFundMe campaigns, Meal Train information, grief support resources, and updates on the survivors.

Honoring the Memory of Loved Ones
Several heartfelt initiatives have been launched to celebrate the lives of the young women lost:
- Local artist Michael Feldman is spearheading a memorial canvas project, allowing students to express their feelings through art.
- Community members are encouraged to wear green and white every Wednesday in solidarity with Archie Williams High School.
- Local restaurants and venues, including Deer Park Villa and Creekside Pizza, are offering spaces for memorials and fundraisers.
A Time to Reflect and Come Together
For those of us mourning alongside the victims’ families, this tragedy is a stark reminder of how fragile and precious life is. It compels us to cherish the everyday moments, forgive quickly, and love deeply. None of us can change what happened, but together, as a united community, we can help these families carry the weight of their loss.
